Welcome to Wildcat Country!

The Media Center at Booker T. Washington is not just a place...it's a service.

Computer FAQs:

Do I need an internet permission form?

No, that is no longer required. Permission is assumed unless parents request in writing that their children not have internet access. Students are expected to comply with the district's acceptable use policy while using the computers.

Can I print?

The Media Center computers are connected to a color printer. Copies are $.20/page.

What databases does the Media Center own?

We pay for you to be able to find all sorts of information such as newspaper and magazine articles, pictures, reference book excerpts, transcripts, essays, website links, etc. online through Proquest and Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center. The school district pays for an online encyclopedia called Grolier Online. The state of Florida has made the resources of Florida Electronic Library available to all students through the district webpage. All of these resources are available both on and off the BTWHS campus. See one of the media specialists for passwords to use when you're not on campus.
