The Health Science program prepares students for employment or advanced training in the health occupations industry. The program provides opportunities to explore careers in the health care field, both in the classroom and in community health care settings.
Students study current aspects of the health care industry in addition to learning basic health care skills. Some of these include taking vital signs and blood pressure, using crutches, applying heat and ice, and learning infection control procedures.
The program is affiliated with the National Association of Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). Through HOSA, students participate in many leadership activities including community service projects, fund-raising, and competitive events.

Grade 9-12: Medical Skills and Services
Grade 10-12: Health Science I
Grade 11-12: Health Science II
Grade 12: Allied Health Assisting III & HOE Direct Study
| To be program completes for Gold Seal/ Bright Futures, students must take HS I, HS II and Allied Health Assisting III. Only seniors can take clinics. |
